Incredible and sad as it sounds, there is a cybersecurity threat to implanted medical devices (or any medical device having a particular technology) that may be dangerous, and in some cases life threatening to patients….

 

 

……hacking into a patient’s implanted medical device to alter flow rate parameters and, or switching off an implanted medical is a growing concern.
